Haneki Cup Finals Place Secured

Pale Fox Esports secured themselves a place in the Haneki Cup Finals after two impressive qualifying event performances this week which saw them reach back-to-back semi-finals.

The Haneki Cup qualifying stage brought together teams from across Europe to compete for a spot in the finals. Qualifying events awarded points based on a team’s results and then the teams with the most points after all qualifying events were completed earned a place in the competition’s final stage.

In the first qualifier that the team took part in this week, the team brought home four 2-0 victories in a row before falling to a narrow defeat at the semi-final stage. Round one had Pale Fox Esports up against ECP Academie, followed by the next three rounds playing against Chubby Cat, F/A Pas, and CMTR respectively. The semi-final match was against F/A Proxima, and it was them who claimed victory in a hard-fought battle which ended in a 1-2 reverse.

Friday night saw a repeat of a semi-final defeat, but the team put in an excellent performance and earned some well-deserved victories against quality opposition. Pale Fox Esports breezed through a round one match against Free Agents, but then battles against F/A Proxima, SLG, and F/A Kebap resulted in three 2-1 victories in a row. Lost Attention awaited in the semi-final, and they took a 2-1 victory in a match decided by fine margins.

The final standings for the event’s top 8 teams, were:

1st – No More Talk – 250 points
2nd – Lost Attention – 240 points
3rd – F/A Proxima – 230 points
4th – BTS – 210 points
5th – F/A India – 190 points
6th – Relax – 170 points
7th – Pale Fox Esports – 160 points
8th – NLS Esporting – 140 points

Speaking about the team’s qualification for the Haneki Cup Finals, Pale Fox Esports’ Dragonfly said: “The two qualifying events saw us do really, really well. We got to the semi-final stage of the competition in back-to-back nights and we played well too. Especially last night in the last event, we beat F/A Proxima and F/A Kebap along the way and were probably unlucky not to make the final.

“There are still a few months to go until the 2024 Brawl Stars Championship qualifying season gets underway for us, and the off-season is a great opportunity to make sure we put the building blocks in place for a successful campaign. We want to make sure we step up from last year. Last year was a great start, it was a foundation, but of course, we want more!

“The Haneki Cup is a part of us building towards the 2024 season. It was the same thing for the YxDC Seasonal League and all the other tournaments that we’re playing in. We’re trying to get more games together, improve together, and develop together. I’m really happy with the position that we’re in right now, and hopefully, we keep building from here!”
