Roster Refinding Event Form

The Pale Fox Esports roster has continued to rediscover its form after a short rocky period and has delivered much-improved performances in competitive events this week – reaching a semi and quarter-final respectively. The team has stuck with RoUND, who originally came in as part of a roster reshuffle during the ESL Snapdragon Mobile Open’s recent split.

The team first took part in the Reconic Esports EU #1 tournament and reached the semi-final stage before slipping to defeat. Round one of the event saw Pale Fox Esports beat The GOATS 2-0, with more 2-0 wins following in rounds two and three against Love Kebab and GenuisSqueak. Relax awaited in the semi-final, but a hard-fought match saw them take a 1-2 victory to knock Pale Fox Esports out of the tournament.

Next up came the Unima Gaming Cup and the team battled hard to reach the quarter-final stage. Round 1 gave Pale Fox Esports a bye, but a 1-0 win over GenuisPI and back-to-back 2-0 victories over UG1 and Haneki Blue saw the team through to the sharp end of the tournament. However, No More Talk took a 0-2 win at the quarter-final stage.

The final event of the week saw Pale Fox Esports taking part in the New Dawn 3v3. Round one was a 2-0 victory over AO Instinct. but the team crashed out a round later after a 0-2 reverse against BrawlStar. While the early exit could have taken some of the shine off the week, the progress of the team has been picked up on.

Speaking about the team’s progress, Pale Fox Esports’ Dragonfly said: “What a difference a week or two can make! Things felt a little off for a while there, but this week has been really, really positive and we’ve probably been a bit unlucky to not go on and win something this week. It’s really early days with RoUND coming into the roster, but this is a very good start.

“We steadied the ship a bit in the last two weeks of the ESL split and put in some good wins and performances, and the team have gone on to build on that this week. That should restore a bit of confidence and hopefully, we can really kick on from here. The work is going in behind the scenes, so we’re just hoping it comes out on game days!”
