Runners-Up Finish in Haneki Event

Fresh off the back of an impressive run to Round 15 in the BSC May Monthly Qualifiers, Pale Fox Esports’ roster put together another deep tournament run, this time earning a runners-up finish in the latest Haneki Tournament.

The 175-team, $800+ event was the 15th running of the Haneki Tournament, a competition that PFE rosters have a good track record in having won the 7th edition and finished as beaten semi-finalists in both the 3rd and 4th editions.

This time out, the team put together six back-to-back victories, all without dropping a set, before facing off against 2005 in the grand final. Made up of two BSC World Championship competitors from the 2023 season, and a reigning world champion – SK Gaming’s Joker, FUT Esports’ Drage, and ZETA Division’s Noway – the team were the strongest in the Haneki event.

The full results of the Haneki Tournament were:

Round 1 – 1-0 v OFP
Round 2 – 2-0 v Underdogs Gaming
Round 3 – 2-0 v Bomzhi
Round 4 – 2-0 v Cherevichki
Quarter Final – 2-0 v Alle auf Flasche
Semi Final – 2-0 v Black and Squeak
Grand Final – 0-2 v 2005

Speaking about the team’s performance, Pale Fox Esports’ Dragonfly said: “Coming off the back of a really good performance in the BSC Monthly Qualifiers, putting in another good run in a tournament is always going to keep confidence high. It’s really good to see and I’m sure the guys will enjoy the prize money too!

“It has been a good couple of days, a good week or so for the team and that’s always nice to go through. Esports isn’t always a kind place to be if things aren’t going your way. But we’re in a good place right now and we’ll keep building things from here. It would have been a massive result to win the event, but we came close and it’s a good performance. I couldn’t really have asked more of the team!”
